Miral has confirmed that the latest expansion of Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi will officially open to visitors on April 4, 2026.
The development represents the next phase of the park’s “Lost City” theme, which builds on its existing narrative, The Legend of The Lost Pearl. The expansion introduces a range of new attractions, including eight additional slides, two jump platforms, and a leisure pool, bringing the total number of experiences at the park to more than 70.
Jonathan Brown, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, described the project as a significant step in enhancing Yas Island’s entertainment offerings, with new rides designed to deliver a mix of excitement and immersive storytelling for visitors of all ages.
Among the أبرز features is Matamir’s Drop, which will stand as the UAE’s tallest waterslide, offering a descent from more than 40 metres and extending over a 233-metre مسیر. Other प्रमुख attractions include Sahel Matamir, a high-speed tube racer featuring rapid acceleration and brief zero-gravity effects.
Additional rides include Matamir Loop, a fast-paced body slide, and Matamir Twist – Matamir Lights, which combines steep drops with dynamic lighting effects. For competitive visitors, Matamir Splash introduces a side-by-side racing slide experience.
Beyond high-adrenaline attractions, the expansion also focuses on leisure. Sarab provides a family-friendly pool area for relaxation, while Al Afda offers guests the chance to jump into the water from elevated platforms.
The new additions are expected to further position Yas Waterworld as a leading destination, blending entertainment, cultural storytelling, and innovation within Abu Dhabi’s tourism landscape.
