Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for one of its busiest travel periods ever, with more than 10 million passengers forecast to pass through its terminals between 27 November and 31 December 2025. The surge marks a significant year-end peak driven by holiday travel, major events, and Dubai’s vibrant winter tourism season.
The travel rush begins with the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad long weekend, when daily passenger numbers are expected to average over 294,000. The momentum then builds into December—projected to be the airport’s busiest month on record—with over 8.7 million guests anticipated.
Daily traffic is set to exceed 300,000 passengers throughout December, with 20 December expected to be the single busiest day, reaching an estimated 303,000 travelers.
Airport officials note that passenger trends follow a clear pattern: outbound travel dominates ahead of the Eid Al Etihad break as residents take advantage of the holiday, while mid-December sees a sharp increase in inbound arrivals as tourists flock to Dubai’s festive attractions, concerts, and winter events.
To support the surge, Dubai Airports is working closely with its oneDXB partners—including airlines, government authorities, commercial partners, and airport service teams—to maintain smooth operations and ensure efficient passenger flow during the peak season.
