Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Amman has once again secured its 4-star rating in the latest Skytrax World Airport audit, underscoring its position as one of the region’s leading air travel gateways.
The rating, awarded by London-based Skytrax, reaffirms QAIA’s high standards of service quality and operational performance across key airport functions, according to Airport International Group (AIG), the airport’s operator.
Conducted over several days, the audit evaluated the full passenger journey — from ground transportation, security and immigration, and terminal wayfinding to seating comfort, cleanliness, retail and dining options, and staff service. The review also involved airlines, security agencies, ground handling providers, and concessionaires, reflecting a broad, airport-wide effort.
Skytrax’s report confirmed that QAIA continues to meet 4-star benchmarks in all major categories, praising the terminal environment as “visually striking, operationally efficient, and architecturally distinctive.” Auditors highlighted the generous use of natural light, the appealing interior design, and the strong first impression the airport offers arriving and departing passengers.
The assessment further noted AIG’s ongoing and planned improvement projects, which are expected to strengthen QAIA’s long-term service quality and passenger experience.
Airport International Group CEO Nicolas Deville said the renewed 4-star rating reflects the dedication and professionalism of the entire airport community. He reiterated AIG’s commitment to continuously enhancing the passenger journey at every touchpoint, in line with international standards and QAIA’s strategic vision.
